XF 2.3 Public voting” option be enabled after creating a poll?

Hello,

I have a question regarding the behavior of polls in XenForo.

When creating a new poll, there is an option called “Public voting.” If I enable this option, the number of users who voted is displayed, and when clicking on the number, I can see which users voted.

However, if I create the poll without enabling “Public voting,” the number of votes is still displayed, but I cannot see which users voted. I understand that this is the expected behavior when public voting is disabled.

The issue is that when I later edit the poll, the “Public voting” option is no longer available in the poll editing screen.

Therefore, if a poll was originally created without public voting enabled, there appears to be no way to enable it later in order to see who voted. The only apparent solution is to delete the existing poll and create a new one with “Public voting” enabled.

My questions are:

  1. Is the absence of the “Public voting” option from the poll editing screen intentional and part of XenForo's design/structure?
  2. Is there any way to enable “Public voting” on an existing poll without deleting and recreating the poll?
  3. If this is not possible, is there a technical reason for this limitation? For example, are voter/user records stored differently depending on whether public voting was enabled when the poll was created?
I would like to understand whether this is expected behavior or whether there is another way to change this setting after a poll has already been created.

Thank you.
