If on cloud hosting, submit a ticket and request a site backup. If you have customized your style, you will also need to export it out to make sure you have it separate also (if you get a full DB/site backup, it's not as important, but it is nice to have as an "oopsie save" no matter what.
Now, if you are on shared hosting, it will be a different process. You will want to make sure you archive your site structure (if using a panel you should be able to do it from there, but I haven't used a panel in years) and download that archive, then you want to export your DB (hopefully by a manner other than phpMyAdmin (which has a horrible issue with timing out, especially on shared hosting).
If you are on a VPS/dedicated server, it can be done differently.
So, until you give a little more detail as to your hosting environment, it's going to be hard to instruct you.
