XF 2.2 Profile images in Gmail from emails sent by forums?

I'm curious if there's a way to set an image for email so when the recipient gets it they'll see a small image instead of the generic letter such as the example in the pic below like that site/service does.

Oh wow okay. Yeah that's a bit much for an organization as small as mine.

yeah i looked into it when google announced it. went over my head. i have only seen a handful of companies with logos in gmail. google is one of course. amazon is another. and one of the banks i have. can look quite tacky to be honest with too many logos appearing with mails.
