XF 2.2 Preview Box

The separate preview box which would pop up when hitting preview during typing a reply was much nicer; is there a way to adjust that back? The current version is essentially the same as just toggling bb-codes, which is not helpful when users want to see what the post looks like while they are writing it.

The preview in 2.2 works exactly the same as it did in 2.1 - it renders the post as it will appear once submitted.

It just does it in the same editor window rather than a separate panel.

Yeah, many users have complained that it's less convenient as they cannot read the preview and edit the post at the same time.

Agree completely. I've just upgraded and searched here to see if there was a 'fix'

I'm surprised more haven't made comment.

I'm not surprised there's now add ons to remove the preview button because in my opinion, it's now pointless.

I think that there's something to be said for using the format of the various Scheduled Post apps. Make the preview another post with a tentative post position, exactly how it would look when posting, and there's no reason for anyone to have an issue. I get that the large post preview was annoying to scroll through, but if it's above the quick reply editor rather than below, you can literally just use the scroll down button to get back to the editor.
