Prefix Index Listing ?

Let`s say I do have about 30 different Prefixes for my Forum.

I would like to show in the sidebar (or somewhere else at the homepage) a list of all Prefixes available.

Saying I have Prefixes like for a Business-Directory:
- Finance & Legal
- Health & Beauty
- Eating & Restaurants
- Sports & Entertainment
- Want to Buy
- Want to Sell

So I would like to show my "Prefixes" as some sort of "Category Index" somewhere at the Homepage, e.g. within the sidebar or underneath the "Notices".

Would be great to show all my Prefixes in a consolidated list somewhere, and by clicking onto one of those Prefixes, it shows a List of all Threads containing that specific Prefix.

In addition to this:
currently, we can "filter" Prefixes for example the "Confirmed"-Prefix here at XenForo.com
But when filtered for "Confirmed"-Prefix, the only option available is to "unfilter" the selected "Confirmed"-Prefix.
I would suggest instead of having the "X" for "unfilter", to have a drop-down-field in order to be able to select and filter for another "Prefix". This would make it much faster to filter different Prefixes.

Merged with an earlier suggestion.

In case you weren't aware, the full list of prefixes is available from the Thread Display Options dropdown at the bottom of each forum thread listing.

I don't have that on my board. Is that something that has not been released yet?

Is all I see. Maybe I'm stupid and I'm doing something wrong. I see it here on xF.com

Even so. . . it is in a very bad place that people would not immediately see.

my initial suggestion (first post of this thread) was actually related to something like these Add-ons, which were realized by user Fuhrman (I partially supported funding for these Add-ons):

http://xenforo.com/community/resources/listprefixes.81/

:D!

I think it should be built in though, since prefixes are a core feature.

Being at the bottom is kinda pointless since most people will never find it. So a bit more visiblity would be nice. Though I can't find it on the bottom on my site.

sorry for my introduction, is that someone can tell me if the topic titles with prefixes are submitted to search engines?

I am trying to understand if the prefix is taken into account or not.

It would be good if google ignores prefix for better referencer(SEO). This will encourage members to a title more relevant to their "topic title" without introducing too many words..

Thank

Thank you for the link ;)Erich37
I think I'll open a topic to ask if it is feasible.
Short words are more relevant for a search;)
(this is mainly to "force" the user to shorten the title in the forums)

Touching on a topic on the first page of this thread, anybody come up with a way of getting a thread prefix listing across all forums instead of just the current one being viewed?
