XF 2.1 Potential problem when you merge first post of a thread with an newer post with second post soft deleted

Just had this on my own board. Here is what I am talking about.

Thread has five posts 1/2/3/4/5
I soft-deleted post number 2.
I merged post 1 with post 3 selecting post 3 as the new post.
Now first post in the thread is deleted. Appearing as such to me as admin.

I wonder if this is expected behavior. Since Xenforo does not delete soft-deleted posts by itself. Just curious.

my test case seems different. there is no moving of post. thread is not even deleted in my case. admins see soft deleted post as first post in the thread. others see second post as the first post.
