Post your speedtest.net results!

Really? Around here, if you don't live in town (or one of the few LARGE small cities surrounding us) you will either get your internet by satellite, cell-phone or dial up. That's probably 40% of our county population.

Hmm... I live about 7 miles west of Disneyland and pretty much right next door to Knott's Berry Farm. Getting a decent speed here in southern California should NOT be a problem... at least one would think so.

Considering I'm in East Texas in the sticks. ;)

@Chris Deeming, run the test again; there's a server in Leicester/shire now.
Virgin Media (ISP) has upgraded their network across the entire country, they've bumped everybody's speeds up.

Here's my result with the speed bump.

I wish ZitoMedia would take a lesson. They recently increased their max available to 50Mb/s down and I signed up for it.
This is a "fast" day for me with them.

I call daily and complain (and get $25 reduced off my bill monthly) and they finally admitted their 2 ports are sitting at (typically) 73% + utilization.

Located about 50 miles from Zito's HQ and they don't offer their service to residential customers or small business customers in our area. What type of service are they offering to your area?

We get cable TV service and their internet service. Locally they offer cable TV, internet and phone service (voip). I liked it better when Windjammer Communications owned it. Fewer service problems with the internet back then.

Can you believe that I pay about 50-60 a month for that..... I am changing to charter on march 17th thank god.
I'd change in a heart beat! Who is your ISP?

Our selection for residential drops is limited. We've got Verizon and Atlantic Broad Band. ZitoMedia has 'ringed' our town with fiber optics for larger businesses but has not made arrangements to add service to residences.

I have to choose either Windstream or Charter, we have had Windstream for about 2 years but now our TV contract is running out so its time to change.
