Post & Thread Highlight Pro

Post & Thread Highlight Pro [Paid] v2.1.1

No permission to buy ($30.00)
Was this just from running the upgrade? or are you getting them post upgrade?
Sorry, removed the post, realized those occurred during the update process and were unlikely due to normal plugin operation. Busy forum, literally generated 30 errors during that short time.

Yeah, that's normal if you have lots of bots/crawlers on your frontend pages during installs. Best remedy is to temporarily turn your board off during any add-on upgrades, but most of us don't bother, just clear the errors.

Version 2.0.0 is a major internal update for Post & Thread Highlight Pro.

The biggest change is that highlights are now tracked in their own dedicated data table instead of relying only on older post/thread/user counter fields. This gives the add-on a much clearer source of truth for highlighted content and opens the door for better future features.

Going forward, the add-on can more reliably track things like:
  • whether a highlight was applied manually, by staff, by thread curation, by reactions, or imported from older data
  • when a highlight was applied
  • who applied it, where that information is available
  • whether older migrated highlights have unknown historical details
  • more reliable user highlight counts and highlight listings
This should make the add-on more maintainable, more predictable, and much easier to build on in future releases.

The update also improves highlight pages. Member highlight links now use a dedicated highlights page instead of generated search result pages, and the What’s new highlights page now displays thread highlights as preview cards and post highlights as compact rows instead of very large full-post listings.

Large Forum Upgrade Note

The normal XenForo add-on upgrade process will run the required upgrade steps automatically. However, large forums should also run the CLI rebuild command after upgrading so the migration can complete in a controlled and visible way:

Bash:
php cmd.php wutime-posthighlight:rebuild-ledger --batch-size=1000

The command may be safely rerun if needed.

Feedback Wanted

Because this update gives the add-on a much stronger foundation, I’d love to hear what features you’d like to see next.

Some possibilities include better highlight history, staff audit views, filters by highlight source, improved featured-content integrations, user-facing highlight timelines, more curation controls, or new widgets.

If you use this add-on, please share any feedback, issues, or feature ideas. This release is meant to make future improvements much easier, so now is a great time to suggest what would be most useful for your community.
