Polls should be allowed in Question forums

Ability to add a poll in a question forum instead of a question.

(One could argue this should also be possible in Article type, but for the sake of this suggestion with polls being actual questions, I am only suggesting the above.)

I think the logic is that a thread in a question forum already is a sort of poll--with the votes being conducted via upvotes/downvotes of replies.

If you had a thread featuring both voting enabled and a poll at the same time, it creates two places for users to vote, which could get confusing.

I don't like how polls have been made into a separate thread type. A poll should be an option for a discussion, an article, or a question. I can't even count how many articles I've read for many years where a poll has been included. Granted, the "poll" thread type is simply a discussion with a poll on top, but that still prevents it from being used in articles. It makes a little less sense in the question thread type, as the thread type itself is already an up- or down-vote.

If polls could be split back out into an optional part of discussions, articles or questions, that would be best IMHO. And give us the option to put the poll at the top or bottom of that discussion/article/question.

I edited above for clarification, but I want to add. What I am suggesting is you can choose the Poll tab in a Question forum like you can for Discussion. This way formatting (voting column) is not an issue. And admins can choose if they want to allows polls in Question forums. It's like choosing a General Discussion forum and allowing Question and Poll, but not Discussion.

And I agree, and article should be able to have a poll.
