XF 1.2 Please enter a valid message.

The following error occurred:
Please enter a valid message.

I get this error whenever I try creating a post or thread on my forum. It only happens with posts of a certain length... just a few words works... more then a couple of sentences does not.

I have tried disabling all plugins and using the default theme and I still have the issue. I have applied the latest update and everything else seems to be working.

The server has not logged any errors.

I'm not sure what else to try at this point. Any ideas?

How short of a message? What plugins do you have installed?

I'm not sure exactly how many characters causes the error. I have the max msg set to 0 so that shouldn't be an issue.

I had a couple of errors since I last posted, but I'm not sure that they are related.

1. Fatal Error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceededToday at 12:06 AM - library/XenForo/Template/Public.php:242
2. Fatal Error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceededYesterday at 11:37 PM - library/XenForo/Helper/String.php:109

They shouldn't be related. How did you disable plugins?

I disabled them individually in the cp... then I deleted the '//' comments from the config file.
Neither seemed to help.

If it happens on a default, unedited style with all add-ons disabled then the only other thing it can be is some sort of server setting, but the error message doesn't indicate that.

Are you able to do a clean test install on the same server and see if the same issue occurs on that?
