• the colours may be altered?
• the header is black - if I substitute a picture, will this picture then give the same impression as black now does?

1.Yes the colors can be altered easily from color palette section and new colors affect all over the theme.
2.Yes if you replaced the black color with an image it will give the same impression

Hello Doh, I can not find in the Pi-templates, where it is stored that standard fonts have a weight of 300 instead of the XenForo standard weight of 400.

I exported the XML file and set Fontweight 400!
7487: "extra": "font-weight: 400;"
Imported the file again en looked if the fonts now were better readable.
But nothing happens.

This is the output:

font-weight: 300;

I now have put in extra.less:

.p-pageWrapper {
font-weight: 400 !important;
}

Text now finaly has the desired font-weight.
