SO I've been working on converting my clans board from phpBB to XenForo. I was going to wait awhile but I couldn't resist
.
I started with installing my vB 4.1.2 install on a temporary sub-directory of my clanrad.com's site.
Using the impex service I imported my database from phpBB 3.0.8 to vBulletin 4.1.2, total time roughly 5-10 minutes(my board is not big by any means).
Then I backed up my phpBB site, installed XenForo onto www.clanrad.com upload took longer than the install process).
Then using Paul's importer I imported the vB database into XenForo and it worked like a charm.
I know the passwords didn't stick but I'm extremely happy with how smooth the process went. I'm so glad I'm off of phpBB and onto XenForo, having a modern solution is going to help immensely. It's crazy how outdated phpBB 3.0.8 seems compared to XenForo.
Anywho... my boards up and running, I'm working on some mods to install and the permissions, but... I just wanted to say thanks XenForo

And yes.. I know RC3 is coming out today
, and yes... I too know that my board is not big, in fact I have more posts on here than I do on my entire site but I still wanted to commend XenForo on the great product and look forward to the long run with XF.
