php5-GD doesn't like me :(

I'm helping a friend set up his server and install XF, but the image library php5-gd and imagick both don't want to work.. I've managed to install xenforo with apache2 installed, but after switching over to nginx image libraries don't want to work at all..

I really don't understand this at all. Both work for me and i have the exact same setup..

Derp totally forgot to restart php5-fpm..

Try to install one first, install php-gd, what say your phpinfo ?? have correctly assigned the path to gd library, have you something likephp-gc.conf in /etc/php.d ??
