@AndyB, would it be possible to have an alternative display option to normalize the size of the photos? So the admin could say each thumbnail will be 100x100px and then it will fit the photo into that space. It can cut off parts of the photo if it needs to, the same way Instagram and forum avatars would.

So, I ran a monthly photo contest last month with this add-on, and I really liked how easy it was to setup and maintain, and it had a few quirks, but overall I thought it worked very well.

Then I asked the membership what they thought, and it was nearly unanimous...

Everyone wanted to return to our old format....

So that confused me at first because I thought things went well, so I did a survey. It turns out nearly all of them were upset that they were unable to vote for their own photo, because XF doesn't let you like your own post! I never would have guessed that would be an issue.

We usually run a poll to pick a winning photo, and anyone can pick any photo in a poll, and so every photographer got to vote for at least their own photo in that method.

Nothing against this mod, it does the job it was designed to do great, but I just wanted to share that, it doesn't solve every contest problem.

Is this set to a private photo album? Example if there is a quota limit on how much MB a user can have on own photo album. Does this will affect to upload image to the contest?

Hello,

It would be great to have options for:

• start uploading photos (ok, it starts when we make it)
• end uploading photos
• start voting
• end voting (ok, that can be set)

So its for long time contest better and more fair when voting starts at a later point and after upload is ended.

Also nice:
to see the overview first at the end of contest and/or to limit them to 3, 10, 12 eg to see the 3 or 10 or 12 best votet photos at the end as winners.

Just wondering how this would work if I had media gallery mirroring setup in the forum where the contest is running. As with mirroring enabled you are now able to like the actual photos from within the forum and not just the post itself. I'm assuming only likes on the post would be counted?

Currently we can set a photo acceptance end date and after that date no more photos are added, which is great, but it would be nice to only allow voting after all photo's have been submitted (after the photo end date).

@AndyB, I noticed the images will not get noticed by the addon if they are embedded in posts using their XFMG url. Would it be possible to add that functionality?

Andy, I suspect this is a problem with my site but I'm noticing that reactions are being counted twice for each image. So if a picture has 15 likes, its showing 30. Thoughts?

The problem is the addon is adding the board url as the url prefix so thumbnails are broken and loaded in this way:

I have an articles add-on that I am using with @digitalpoint Cloudflare add-on. Thus far my add-on correctly uploads the article image file to R2 without any change of code. Where I am stuck is how to display the image in the template. Below is my php code. Any insight on how to display this...

so, I think you have to set up $xf.app.config.externalDataUrl

Having removed the board url (not sure why your addon is asking for it, it can be taken from the XF board url general setting) made the trick
