XF 1.1 Permissions User groups

Ok, I know I keep having permissions questions - sorry

I have permissions set up for the Registered usergroup. When someone registers, I approve them and they go from unregistered->registered. But when I look at their permission, once approved, they are all set to No...am I doing something wrong?

Users will inherit permissions of user groups they are members of.

What do you mean by "when I look at their permission, once approved, they are all set to No" ?

If you mean they are all Not Set (No), then that is correct.
Only custom permissions set for individual users will show as Allow or Never.

But if they are registered, shouldn't their permissions show the registered group permissions? And not the Not Set permissions? I have to say, I am used to setting permissions on other forums and while I like the customization of user settings and permissions on XF, I am just plain confused by them sometimes...

Permissions are cumulative, so it depends on which groups they are a member of.

They are only members of one group - the registered group...I will do some testing and see if I can figure this out...thanks for the links.
