XF 1.4 Permission problem

Hello.
So I've got a question regarding a permission thing i'd like to set up.
So i have set up the permission in the way which i was taught by someone on the forums.
Put the Registered rank on "no", and on every forum which they need to see, give them the permission to.
So now i've got this node:
A.
B.
C.
D.
a.
b.

a and b are apart\under the D Forum.
on the a forum i'd like users to be able to view posts.
On the b forum i'd like users to be able to only post posts, and not see the other posts.
How would i go around doing that, if on a, people can see the threads, and on b they can't?

That's not necessarily how you should set up permissions for nodes. If users can view most nodes then you should be setting the view permission in the Registered user group rather than in the nodes. For nodes that only certain user groups should see, you can use the private node option in the node and set the view permission to Allow for the relevant user group(s). Alternatively revoke the view permission in the node for the Registered group and Allow fir the relevant user group(s).

Going by this and other posts you've made today relating to permissions, I strongly suggest you read the following guides and then ensure you set up permissions in the recommended way.

Thanks for the information, but even after marking Private Node, the premission gets taken by the "D" Forum, saying he is allowed to do that.
