It would be really nice to have a built-in permission for animated avatars in XF2.0. I know it is possible to disable them outright by just not using the relevant image library, but coming from vBulletin we're used to having a per-usergroup permission, and it is rather useful to have. That way it's possible to allow some people to have/upload animated avatars but restrict it to others.
Currently it is possible to do this by a third-party plugin (https://xenforo.com/community/resources/animated-avatar-permission.5276/), but I really feel like it should be built-in. Thoughts?
