XF 2.2 PDF display in Chrome browser

I have set up my chrome browser to display PDF files. When the files are attachments in XenForo, the presentation is often not visible (the majority of the time) but sometimes displays correctly. I have many such files on my personal website and they display just fine.

Is there some way to avoid the -pdf/attachmentid?
