Hi,

WordPress has a really neat feature since a few versions. If you have an URL in your clipboard and you highlight something in the editor and paste, the highlighted text will be the anchor for a link with the URL in the clipboard.

Well, long story short: I'd like to see that in XF2 too.

Thank you for taking your time considering this suggestion.

Usually I do that when want to replace text with something else from the clipboard.

How does WordPress know that what I want to do?

http://some.com is the text in the editor.
In the clipboard I have http://other.com

I want to replace http://some.com with http://other.com

It does not auto-link on paste when the text is an URL. And you always have the possibility to do it the old-fashioned way with the modal box that you have to use in XF right now.
