Currently the behaviour is the same as custom user fields but in the case of the RM it may be useful to parse URLs.
This resource for example has a link to AdSense as an additional requirement: http://xenforo.com/community/resources/responsive-adsense.2084/
Yet it's a plain text field meaning the URL isn't a link and can't be clicked.
