XF 1.2 Page & html

I am trying to create a page and add some html code to it. I did place html markupss in the <p> tag but it doesn't seem to have any effect.

I'd like to have something that looks like this:

Page title
some text some text some text some text some text some text some text some text

1. list item
2. list item

After poking around a bit more, I got to the Page Options tab and learned that I should have put the actual html code there.
It's all working good now. Thanks again for your help.
