XF 2.1 override route

I made route in my addon for homepage as what is wrote in dev docs but what i want is to give user ability to change this route from addon options is it possible?


I found some posts says use event listener listen to router_public_setup but i don't know how to use this to override the actual route?


Any idea to how can this be done?
