When that happens, it is always a custom stuff which is the problem (mostly addons).

Disable addons and test it like that to figure out which addon is the problem. Probably an addon related to unfurling, title, favicons.

Have you run the utf conversion script to allow emojis to be posted?

Looks like two items (videos) from hudl.com are taking a long time to load and are timing out on unfurl.

Judging by the stack trace I'm with Brogan on this one. It's not a timeout issue even though it happens during unfurling, it's a value that's rejected by MySQL. Specifically, it's due to a page whose title contains an emoji. Running the conversion script should fix the table's charset and allow MySQL to store the title properly.
