XF 1.5 OAuth2 with Xenforo 1? Where to look?

I know XF2.0 has examples of connecting external auth sources. But was curious if anyone could point me on how I might use OAuth from an external source with XF1.0? Or at least where to start looking. I've dug through the files but can not find any reference to where Facebook, twitter , etc are setup.

There's collections of static methods in helper classes, in XenForo_Helper_Facebook for example. They're used in the registration controller (actionFacebook() etc).
