So i have recently been getting nodequery email alerts saying I have high resource consumption.
Example is as below:
Server: website.com
Last Update: 2016-04-14 14:57:16
Alert Trigger: 2016-04-14 14:59:01
Average: 0.26 0.28 0.27
System Load: 1%
Ram Usage: 82%
Disk Usage: 64%
httpd 17.7% 393.01 MB nobody (11)
mysqld 3.3% 3.2 GB mysql (1)
memcached 0.2% 81.89 MB memcached (1)
spamd child 0% 27.75 MB root (1)
cpsrvd (SSL) - 0% 21.65 MB root (1)
lfd - sleeping 0% 20.4 MB root (1)
httpd 0% 17.61 MB root (1)
named 0% 13.89 MB named (1)
sshd 0% 12.93 MB root (7)
tailwatchd 0% 10.73 MB root (1)
I have only 189 people online and my Ram is 6GB on my VPS. Is there a reason why mySQL is taking up 3.2GB?
Any ideas?
Do i need to bump up my RAM as this is not even a busy period, and are there any processes that can be deactivated that are not needed? For example i do use memcached, but not sure about the others (Sorry im not a hardware/network literate person).
@MattW Any ideas?
