XF 2.1 Node Permissions

Hey is there a way i can make it so only certain people can see the new threads in a forum? i know if i make it private people cant see the node, and i can set it so only certain user groups can make see new posts, which is what i did, but i ran into some problems their because it removed the ability for people to see my "read first" and "format" post that they need to see, since its an application forum! Thanks




To clarify, i want it so only CERTAIN people can see NEW POSTS. Because i dont want people being able to read other peopels applications.

It's not possible to prevent members from seeing other posts but also to allow your "application" post to be viewed.

You will need to consider an alternative solution such as using a notice or an ad template to display the application text.

figured it out, but thanks for the help. i used the advanced form addon, the application link goes to that, and that application goes to a form hidden to only people that can review applications
