You can set up a promotion system where all posts are moderated until you approve a post.

You can stop the spam bots at the door.

I don't have a spam bots problem. Problem are new real user who post links in their first post. Would be nice if there is an Addon

You're sure it's human? You'd be surprised, the human spammer is truly very rare to see.

Back in the day there was such an addon for vBulletin, wherein X number of first posts would be automatically moderated if they contained a link. I've asked for that one to be developed for xF.

Well, what I do is what I explained. Moderate all new posts until one is approved.

A friend hipped me to this, you might find it useful. I tested it with latest xF version, works 100 percent.

In spam phrases put:

/https?:|www\./i

And set "Maximum messages to check for spam" to whatever number above zero you want.

At: Setup>Options>Spam Management
