Newsletter / email frequency?

Hello everyone,

Just wondering how often people here are sending newsletter style emails out to members in their communities?

Weekly? Fortnightly? Monthly?

Do you find it helps to improve activity on your forum or result in a backlash of SPAM reports?

I was thinking of creating a fortnightly newsletter to highlight various threads (in a manual curated way) but am approaching the idea with caution.

I am using fortnightly for all inactive members, nothing to regular users, as they are online most of the time.

I put it out as often as I could Accept it my self from other sites.
