Hey @AndyB , nice resource. I have a quick question for you.

I've edited the new user email title. The title is edited to what I made it, however, it shows the board description in parenthesis. I can't figure out why. The attachment shows the issue I'm having.

Any idea how to remove the subject's description in parenthesis?

P.S. Off topic but how bad is it really to include the board URL in the email subject? I know it could impact SPAM flagging rates...

Hello Andy,
I have a question.. I have edited the phrases okay, done it several times now and it still sends the default text.
I managed to get it to work only once successfully with our version, containing links etc.

Seems to always revert to the default text.
I know the html is okay - just can't get it to display the text.
Besides the phrases, is there anything else that needs to be done?

Thank you so much...

I must say,
This was due to me changing the default language of my forums, and then facing issues as a result, which Andy has made a note of in the description...
If you use a different language as I do, British English, you must follow his instructions to a T, but make sure you get the ID correct.

Anyway, on top of this, Andy once more proves his dedication and professionalism, by answering the call here again and this time even logging into our forums to check things out.
I am aware of his situation after a terrible accident and as much as I stressed not to worry about it, he still went ahead and helped me.

Andy, thank you mate. I appreciate your help very much and this is one add-on that no admin can do without.
Thank you for all of your help and everything you do here.
Best wishes
Kris

i've searched for 'newuseremail_' in the phrases and i'm not getting any hits. i also checked the templates. where do i edit the email that is sent out?

I installed the add-on and signed up a test user. No email has been received. My users don't need to be approved. I also checked and there are no server errors, bounced emails or anything. I also checked the spam folder of the email in question and there is nothing. I know email is sending alright as I can send user's emails with no problem from Xenforo. What else could be going on?

I have converted the site to https:// but it is sending links to the member profile as http:// still.

How do I change this?

Added: I just noticed that the email was sent at 4.55 am this morning although it arrived much more recently.

Will it pick up the new links and switch to https:// automatically?

So far, the redirects from http:// links to https:// links in general aren't working well, although all the navigation has switched.

@AndyB is there any way to integrate this with your Inactive members addon? So that the new user registration email can be sent with a list of topics that are trending on the site. Love the addons and look forward to your XF2 ventures!
