Take a look at how the new social video community Keek works: https://www.keek.com/
we built a whole brand to encourage social interaction
This system is even more engaging than XenForo is, but the feel is also similar in many ways. The creators have understood how to entice users and also how to get users to sign up, suck in their friends and keep users in.

Here is a small overview: https://www.keek.com/about

I would not be surprised if this becomes extremely big.

Keek has been big for awhile. Like twitter, they rely on celebrity accounts to encourage members to join.

It is not as popular as instagram or even vine. I don't think any social video sites will ever be as popular as YouTube anytime soon.

I see zero resemblance to forums. Looks like keek has an average age of about 12 years old and most posts have about three words.

Yeah there's no resemblance to forums other than commenting videos. Don't know why he posted it.

Alfa1, you've disappointed me.:p Do you really think Keek is that good? Sure, 45 million users is nothing to sneeze at. But still. No value comes out of the conversations there from what I can see.

Most people sign up and don't stick around. It's one of those apps you install, look around and uninstall.

nothing new here
looks like a fancy twitter clone

Visits site... clicks on random video... girl smoking pot. Nice.

It seems like twitter with built in video sharing.
