I have looked through all of the logs, they never show any errors of any kindIt's possibly a php/compute issue. Can you please confirm you've looked at the logs? Otherwise, we're all just stabbing around in the dark.
While possible, if so GoDaddy would easily see that as an opportunity to upsell him. But they are saying there are no issues. From reading this thread, it sounds to me like you hit your peak resources. Something you should in in the future is run an add-on like:
Unmaintained - LiteSpeed Cache for XF2 - Community
Developed by LiteSpeed Technologies - the LiteSpeed Cache Plugin for XenForo 2 (LSCXF2) is a PHP-based plugin that communicates with your installation of LiteSpeed Web Server(LSWS) and its built-in page cache, LSCache. Because LSCache is built...xenforo.com
It would help if you got overloaded with guests like you mentioned. I believe @MattW would be able to help you set this up if you switch hosting to his.
This may be a stupid question but I keep getting emails from “iplayer” that my ipstacks have gone over for the month. I have no idea what this means. Could it be related?

Just the standard “safari, Firefox etc. cannot load this page”While possible, if so GoDaddy would easily see that as an opportunity to upsell him. But they are saying there are no issues.
What exactly are your users seeing?
There was one add on using it which I disabled and uninstalled but no luckIt may be, is iplayer a valid user on your server? Have you disabled addon(s) that use ipstack.com?
