XF 1.2 NavBar styling for current page

I plan to use XenForo in part as a CMS as my forums will need a few informational pages. I want them to show on the nav bar near the top of the page, and I've got that working. I created a page and modified the template for the nav bar to use the "Home" button to link to that page.

The problem is if I'm on that page, the "Forums" tab is still highlighted. Is there a way I can modify this so "Home" will be highlighted instead if the user is on that page?

I have the pages hidden from the main nodes list. The idea is to have a few generally static pages linked to within the navbar without actually having extra HTML pages to manage, or another CMS.

Use this addon to make the page node into a tab (which will support tab selection):

You can also use this setting to change the URL of a page node to be the index URL:

Admin CP -> Home -> Options -> Basic Board Information -> Index Page Route
