Cpanel finally introduces MySql 5.7 to CPanel in February 2018:

Performance and features of Mysql 5.7 (October 2015):

Of course, all those that switched to MariaDB wont convert back (AFAIK there is no way back?) but all those still running pure Mysql on Cpanel might find this an interesting read.

now there a plenty host company who offer shared hosting with PHP7 and MariaDB and they never switch on MySql after comapre performance eachother.

The techs over there have stated there is no way to convert back from MariaDB to MySQL .... at this time.

However, that is probably based solely on the fact that, until about 6 weeks ago, they had no plans to support MySQL 5.7 at all in the future. So, they would never really have had any need for a conversion from MariaDB to MySQL.

Now that they are supporting MySql moving forward, I think they'll basically have no choice but to implement a conversion back.

Wait, cPanel is still a thing?

*ducks*
