Mybb to XenForo Migration Questions

Hello,

We have a small gaming community (bit.ly/11KWbT) using MyBB as a forum software. We are planning to migrate to XenForo mainly because of SEO features. We have some questions in mind:

• How much resources CPU/RAM/Bandwidth will it require after upgrade? Is there any browser caching?
• We would like use the paid installation service from XenForo representatives. Is it possible on MyBB?
• Is SEO url redirection possible?
• Are there any plugins/addons for forum monetization?
• What exactly does Brandremoval do?
• Can we create custom pages for rules, donations, contact forms etc.?
• Alternative payment method because PayPal sucks.
• Can we host multiple forums on a single domains using 1-License?
• And most importantly, does XenForo support automatic update?

Yes, use the contact form ( http://xenforo.com/contact/ ) and they can arrange alternate payment method for you.

It is impossible to give a figure as it varies depending on the site. In general XenForo uses less resources than comparable software.

Installation is possible but XenForo does not offer an import service. You will need to do it yourself or find a third party.


Is SEO url redirection possible?
Yes.


Are there any plugins/addons for forum monetization?
Look in the Resource Manager: http://xenforo.com/community/resources/


What exactly does Brandremoval do?
Removes the XenForo copyright from the footer.


Can we create custom pages for rules, donations, contact forms etc.?
Yes.

I guess we'll have to wait until XenForo officially provides migration services.

@BlakeFire, the forums may have 50k members but there are only 175k posts.
