Duplicate Mute Profile Posts/Status Updates?

Forgive me if this has been suggested(or if this is already a feature i missed XD) but this is actually something from FB that I'd love to see implemented on Xenforo.

As much as I love commenting on someone's profile post..it gets annoying after awhile when 40 people start commenting on it long after you stopped caring.

It'd be great to have a "Mute" feature akin to Facebook's "Stop Notification" that way you don't get notifications anymore for replies to a status and you can unmute if you change your mind.
