XF 1.5 moving to root

I just want to confirm that all the instructions under item 5 are still valid for xf 1.5 (including htaccess edits, for moving a site from "/community" to "/" (root)?

I think some of the route-filter options are new / were enhanced and I'd like to confirm.

Also, any suggestions for search engines? Resubmit sitemaps? Or should the htaccess edits suffice?

The information is still valid.

Resubmitting the sitemap can be done also, although XF does that periodically anyway.
