How can I install my back up to another database (same site different folder) and make it load everything properly??

It is not clear to me as well what you are trying to achieve? Are you looking to change only the forum url or making a duplicate of your live forum?

Thanks all! I was trying to go from www.abc.com/forum to just www.abc.com

You just need to drag the files from the /forum directory to the root, then update the Board URL in the ACP.

You may also want to put a redirect in place, in case of any inbound links to the old location.
