XF 1.5 Move "Today's Birthdays" from Members page to Homepage?

I'd like to display "Today's birthdays" on the forum homepage, rather than only on the Members page tab. This way iit's easier for the community to know whose celebrating a birthday.

However, I'm afraid I'm not sure what code I need to copy from which template to where.

I searched the forums but found only Add Ons that relate to before it was a standard XF feature.

I'd be grateful if anyone could advise.

It can't be done just by editing the template as the data is not exposed to the template.

It would require an add-on.

@ibrian I use Chris D's Xen Notices add-on to display a birthday notice for today's birthdays. This can be displayed on any XenForo page. You can see it in action on his website.

You can also use Sidebar Positions to display Today's Birthdays in the sidebar.
