Try to have users donating specific amounts through PayPal, so then should receive a kind of award or title.
e.g 10$ silve, 20$ gold, 50$ platinum
Bought a donate add on, but it doesn't work like this.
By accident I found "User Upgrades" in teh ACP, but the XF2 manual doesn't say how this works. There is a reference to XF manual section "monetization" , but this section doesn't exist :(
Any help or hint aprecciated how I could this simple thing set up ;o), using "User Upgrades" or anything else, I don't care at the end.
Thanks

We have a system in place called 'Site Support' where a member can purchase 12months site support for a fixed fee.
They then get added to a secondary user group 'Site Supporters' where they have access to an additional forum, receive certain extra priveledges, different permissions are set from Registered Users .

If running different levels of support set the function: 'Disabled user upgrades ' to disable the different levels if one is purchased; so for instance you have three levels a b c, disabled use upgrades b & c if a is purchased, a & c if b is, a & b if c is, etc

I would like to do exactly this. But give the user some kind of badge or title on their account to show off their support.

Just an FYI--a few years ago, I noticed that PayPal really frowns on using the word "Donate" for anything but donations for non-profit agencies. I was trying to create a forum "Donate" button linking right to PayPal, but found it wasn't allowed under their terms of service. So please, be careful on how the wording goes here. "Contribution" would work. On one of my forums, I called it the "Gold Club," where a contribution resulted in additional features being unlocked. If a manufacturer or service provider wants to give money, consider calling it a sponsorship.
