Modern Gamer XF2 (10 Presets) [Deleted]

Great theme. Got a question. Is it possible to have some or all of the features on other pages than forum? I use resources as my main page and would like to have the featured content and the partner slider to show there.

Can I use html in someway to add features as a widget using the Xenforos built in Widget function? Or is it possible to add settings in the theme settings in a future update to choose where to show the different slides and content.
 
Hi there Madsen, thanks for the questions!
So right now the Featured Widgets only display on the forum list by default - however I can easily update to show on other pages. The main slider and partner icons currently can show on other pages than just the forum home.

The Featured Widget system in my themes is actually similar to using Custom HTML type in the Xenforo widget system - however, my feature comes as a built in carousel where you enter HTML content for up to six widgets/slides. Basically it's an enhanced version of the same Partner Icon slider you see elsewhere, that accepts more than just a single image path.

As for Xenforo's built-in widget system, I'm looking to add more custom locations instead of just the "Forum list sidebar", "Member list sidebar" etc that you get out the box.

Never mind. Of course i missed the settings in theme options. Looking forward to a update to show Featured Widgets on more pages.
 
I haven't touched prefixes in any of my styles, but I'll check into it right now on my dev copy and see if there's anything going on.

Edit: Hey prefixes are working great on my end, I added several threads within a forum with various nodes, can click to filter them, click from popup menu etc. Could you provide a screenshot where this is occurring? Or you can PM me a link to your forum.

It's also possible that there's an addon conflict with some custom templates.

Sorry, should mention that i's on the resources app. Prefixes are not clickable, I only get the text marker cursor when hovering prefixes. PMd my website.

Modern Gamer fully merged and improved for Xenforo 2 -- now begins the real work of innovating the theme forward with some major new UI changes and gaming-oriented features :cool:
 
Hi, I'm thinking of using this style but for a topic that has nothing to do with gaming, but your green colour style is exactly what I'm looking for. I assume it's possible to use this style for a non gaming forum just by changing the logo's and backgrounds etc?

Also, do you have options to change the layout of the categories?
 
Hi Viper,
While the skin is intended for gaming, it could easily be customized for other genres, such as tech or entertainment by switching images as you said.
As for the categories, if by the node listing categories, the styling is currently designed into the theme, however the forum category grid appearance can be toggled on or off. The gaming image backgrounds behind each forum node can also be changed or disabled completely to use a traditional row layout.

having some kinda major issues with this latest upgrade....cannot even get it to look proper on a default install test...no errors or warnings in dev tools...any ideas?
