XF 1.3 Moderators suddenly lost their powers

I had a DB issue and when everything was back and running, my moderators had lost all of their privileges. I went back and restored them individually, as well as as a group. Nothing seems to work. Suggestions?

What kind of "DB issue"?

Before we can offer any suggestions we first need to know what the problem was.

 

[Ron G]

The system had too many visitors and crashed. In the meantime, I found the problem. When I went back in and re-set permissions, I added them to the registered users group. Big mistake. The limitations of registered users trumped the more powerful moderator permissions.

Having all members in the Registered user group is actually the correct approach.
