mod_rewrite is enabled site giving 404 error

We have recently moved into a new host successfully but we are having an issue with the site throwing 404 error. The front page works fine but when clicking on anything else e.g. node, tabs..etc it gives the error. mod_rewrite is enabled but it seems not to be working. When logging in ACP and disabling friendly url the site works fine, enabling that option brings the issue back.

Any idea how to fix this?

Assuming you also moved the hidden .htaccess file over to the new server, contact your host and ask them to resolve it.

Disable FURLs until they do.
