How do you guys check your designs in mobile browsers?

I mean, you might own a mobile device, but there are several platforms out there.

Google Android - Apple iPhone - Blackberry OS 6 have webkit based browsers.

Older Blackberry - Older Nokia devices have other browsers.

A friend needs a solution. He can probably buy a budget Android phone but how can he support his client who also needs his sites to look nice in older Blackberry devices (like the one he owns!).

I am hoping that there are reliable web services out there for the same! Need suggestions.

You can download Android SDK and emulate Android phones (Android Virtual Devices).
You can also download Iphone SDK (Mac only) and emulate—what else?—Iphones.
Old phones that can't even render properly css2 or html tables are demode.

Note that the emulation is almost always slower than when testing the real phones. Even on my i7 Extreme, 32GB RAM.
