Add-on [MN] Calculated Forms

Good Morning!

We're hoping to get some quotes for a piece of bespoke for XF2.0.4. We're wanting to get a custom 'forms' addon which will allow us to make surveys, applications and other forms that'd be posted into a thread. Similiar to https://xenforo.com/community/threads/advanced-forms-paid.133580/ except with calculated fields so we can do, for example:

Field 1: Quantity
Field 2: Unit Cost

and when the form is submitted, it'd show
Field 3: Total Quantity
which is quantity * unit cost.

This is just an example, and we'd like to be able to make as many forms as we want (Not all calculated).

If you are willing to pay for the development of this, why don't you just get in connection with the only forms addon developer @Snog and maybe you can agree on a deal. I assume it will be less expensive for you, as instead of developing a whole new forms addon with calculation, integrating just calculation should cost less. And as Snog's addon has various features already, it would be win-win situation for both of you, as you get an already finished product + calculation and Snog gets paid for his time.

Just making a suggestion . Seems a good idea to me.

@sbj, he contacted me back in December and again in April. I turned it down.

What's he's trying to do is the same as a basic e-commerce system. The forms system can't do that.

At the moment, it's something we have on our existing forum before we move over to Xenforo. We're hoping to move to XF as an upgrade, but trying to get addons. Overall, we use forms for a lot of things on our forum but I don't think it'd be considered an e-commerce system. We'd just like to be able to calculate a result for a field afterwards.

Zetaboards is using javascript to do the calculation for us. From the form we have, someone from ZB had put it together in a few hours to make calculations. As I'm still trying to get my head around XF, is there not a way to use Javascript or something like that on XF? If so, then hopefully the js we currently have for it could minimise any workload for anyone interested/able to look into this.

As you'd be able to see, the form doesn't show the completion date or total price. But on the thread, it's displayed and correct. Just a form which'll calculate from the answers in other questions.
