What does this do? I run xcache on the server.

So can I just turn that feature on if my server meets the requirements? What will happen if it doesn't?

Requirements

• PHP 5.1.6.
• The commonly installed zlib extension is recommended for HTTP encoding functionality.
• Version 1.0.1 required PHP 5.2.1+.
