XF 1.5 Might be a daft question but im stuck

I currently have a forum that's installed at www.northernrelichunters.co.uk/forums/index.php

I would like to move it so its just at www.northernrelichunters.co.uk

Whats the easiest way to do this?

Is it possible changing the .htaccess file to auto re-direct from the old to the new?


I'm really quite new to this and could do with some help.
