Not a bug Maximum tag alerts per message

I have set it to 5 for my Registered usergroup however they are able to post messages with more than 5 tags...

Does the restriction defines the maximum number of people that can be tagged or the maximum number of people than will get the alert? If so, how does the system chooses who to tag if for example the limit is set to 5 and the member tags 10 people?

Not a bug.

You can post as many tags as you like, but only the first five members will be notified.
