Does Xenforo support Master/Slave Databases? What about Memcached?
YES, XenForo will work with Mem cache, Zend Cache, APC, and File Cache.
While XenForo does not officially support slave databases ... It can be done and others here have done so.
By "It can be done and others here have done so." does this mean via an addon or are there detailed instructions available?
Yes, it has been done and others have done this.
No, there currently is no instructions or add-on for this (sorry).
It is something though that you could ask in regarding support via the community. I'm sure other people would be able to help you set such up as others have been willing to help.
XenForo has a very friendly and active community, willing and eager to help other people. And XenForo support it's self is also quick to respond, friendly, and very useful.
What about APC Cache ? Does XF support it?
XenForo will work with Mem cache, Zend Cache, APC, and File Cache.
Look at that http://xenforo.com/help/cache/
