Massive drop visitors after SSL activation

Hello,

I have activated SSL since 2 months ago, from that day Im losing my organic visitors. each month I lost near 100K visitors. I cant see any improvement. I dont know what should I do. I did everything to make sure that the transition happens as smooth as possible:

  • change board address in ACP
  • 301 redirect from http to https (I have tried both options. first hard redirect through htaccess and then after 1 month change it to Enable board URL canonicalization through ACP)
  • create a new property in Google Search Console with https
  • activate image proxy
  • change robots.txt link to https sitemap
  • Submit the sitemap to google
  • change google analytics to https

I'd really appreciate it if you take some time and share your experience with me

I didn't experience drop visitors after migration to XF, it started right after switching to SSL. It seems I'm destroying my site with my own hands.

There has been an change in google rankings/algorithms. Maybe that has been the change?

Search for the google algorithms change march 2019 to read some about it.

create a new property in Google Search Console with https
What kind of stats are you showing in search console? Are you seeing a bunch of errors?

My problem seems to stem from switching to https as well. We've had a drop since then and haven't recovered (over 2 years now). Not sure if that coincides with some algo changes though bc I'm looking through the "crawled but not indexed" pages and it seems Google is really not interested in any threads with 0 replies to the OP or even 1-2 replies to the OP. Much of what they aren't indexing is weak information pages. My solution in the near future is going to start combining any of these threads into 1 thread if they are similar...time will tell if that works but in the end, Google is just not indexing pages that likely won't show in search results for any search strings.

I know about google algorithms and I red lots of article about it. I have faced with de-indexing problem too, google said it's has resolved but issue still not fully resolved. I lost more than 150K pages..

Yes, there are. more than 1.4M excluded URL
22K (Indexed, though blocked by robots.txt ) most of them are not blocked and I can see them as a guest

would you please share your experience after merging these kind of threads?
