    Hi,

I have one XF site (www.talk2know.com) which I have not been touching for sometime. Suddenly today I logged in there and saw thousand of spams by a single user. Is there any way I can delete that user with all his threads+posts? I believe I saw hat somewhere, but can't find right now.

Just FYI, that site is running on 1.1.4, though I have active license (was lazy to upgrade). So, can I do the action without upgrading, or I should upgrade to 1.2.2 first?

    Thanks,

Edit your Spam Cleaner setting so you can run the spam cleaner on the user to remove the spam.

You didn't uncheck "Check User's IP Address". The spam cleaner should still have run, banned the user, and removed the spam.

right, thanks a lot :) ... just one thing, what does this check spammers IP means? Does it mean it checks spammer's ip in http://whatismyipaddress.com database?

It checks for other users that have registered or used the same IP as the spammer. It will help find other possible spammers.

oh thanks .. that's a nice option. and sorry that questions are just popping up one by one in my head, so another question :( .. Is there anyway that I select bunch of users from ACP, and delete them all with all there threads+posts?

Deleting a user from the ACP does not remove their posts. You should handle removing the posts first. The only way to mass delete users in the core software was added in 1.2.0.
